+ Increasing the mean time maintenance schedule of Ammonia compressors and achieving perfect sealing by replacing the FKM gasket to Kalrez FFKM at a Chemical Fertilizer Plant.
A fertilizer company's UREA plant had BHEL CO2 compressors. These compressors had Normal Viton – A (shore hardness 75) for sealing the compressor casings, which lasted for a period of 6-8 months.
To give a longer life to the existing arrangement, we recommended Kalrez Spectrum 6375. The offered compound could seal the process conditions and also withstand the temperature of 150 Deg C for a period of more than 24 months. The compressor was never again opened to resolve the sealing problem of the damaged Elastomer. We can deliver these in a short duration of 3-4 weeks which can be sourced well within the time of a plant shut down.
   
+ Enhancing the coupling life, performance and ease of installation by converting a typical metallic Cooling Tower coupling (4m length) to an ADDAX- Rexnord composite coupling at a Chemical Plant.
In a petrochemical complex, to remove the process waste heat an induced draft cooling tower was being used. These cooling towers had various cells in which  each drive shaft connects the electric motor to the gearbox input shaft, thereby transmitting torque to rotate the cooling tower fan. These drive shafts accommodate spans ranging from 2 meters to 4.meters in a large field erected towers depending on the cell requirement. The standard MOC being used was SS due to the corrosive environment and was extremely heavy – making it difficult for alignment and installation. These were replaced by Addax couplings which were 1/5th the weight ,thus providing for easy installation and capable of handling higher degree of misalignment and UV / corrosion resistive. The advantages because of the Addax composite material could be justified and the customer was keen on replacing more than 20 such couplings, all at one time.
   
+ Safeguarding human lives and capital equipment, arresting flame possibilities and obtaining early indication by installing Rembe Q Boxes on exhaust ducts at a Coal based Power Plant.
In the power plant the transfer of fine coal dust from the Raymond Bowl mill crusher to the reactor was being done through a duct using a very low pressure system. Due to the presence of iron content and very small particle size the chances of explosion was very high. In such cases we provided an explosion vent to safe guard the ducts from bursting open due to high pressure or uncontrolled explosion. Also to arrest the flames when it came in to human vicinity, we selected the Q box (with flame arrestors) which could resist the flames from coming out and burst open at the desired pressure thus relieving the pressure in the duct to the atmosphere in the form of fumes.
